Eva Balogh Linderbeck-Gallucci

I was married to my high school sweetheart, Kay Linderbeck, for almost 34 yrs. He was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease at 26 and was such a courageous person in his fight of different cancers until passing from this physical life in Feb. 2000. We raised our three children in Seymour, CT before McDonald's opened there. It was a lovely quiet town.

I worked in accounting at GE, in outside engineering at SNET, and nursing homes.....had many jobs to provide my husband with health insurance. My greatest desire in life was to be a wife and mother. LOL Well, I guess I was that and more.

Eventually I ended up in Winter Haven, FL in 2003. My mother needed help with caring for my dad with Alzheimer's disease. I never regretted it.....got to know my parents as real people, with many sides. It made me a better person and daughter.
My greatest joy has been my five grandchildren, three girls and two boys ages 16 to 28. They are so interesting and unique....each one of them. (Sure do miss the sleepovers.)

My two oldest children live here on the Gulf coast and my youngest lives in Wasilla, Alaska. Now I have opportunities to visit all of them often and to travel too.......would like to see this country of ours before my departure from physical life.

At the present, I am in the process of downsizing...selling my house and am moving to the Gulf area to enjoy the beaches and be nearer to my family. Life is good.

Update: I moved to Dunedin, FL (halfway between my two older children) on the Gulf coast of FL. and......most recently, my oldest grandson, Ken, became an Eagle Scout. Very proud of his accomplishments and for being such a fine young man.

Homeroom was great! John Ratzenburger sat near me and I still remember his humor and the great grin on his face. Everyone was fun.

I mostly enjoyed going to the football games and cheering for our team. My cousin Louis Szucs and my future husband were playing and they gave it their best!
