Stephen Inzeo VIEW PROFILE

Stephen M. Inzeo, age 57, of Stratford, died on Monday, January 3, 2005, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in West Haven. Born in Bridgeport to Mary (Buynak) Inzeo, and the late Michael Inzeo, he had been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Bassick High School and Morse Business School. Mr. Inzeo was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Navy and was commended for exceptional meritorious service and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He had served in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1970, and then served in the Navy Reserves. Mr. Inzeo had previously been employed as a mechanical engineer for New England Mechanical. He was a member of the National Association of Naval Veterans Port 5 and the S.S. Norden Club. Mr. Inzeo was a free spirit who loved the beach, fishing, swimming and traveling the world. He is survived by his beloved mother, Mary (Buynak) Inzeo of Bridgeport; two sisters, Terry Martinsky and her husband, Frank, of Milford, and Michelle Sabre and her husband, Vance, of Milford; one niece; and one nephew. He had been predeceased by a sister, Penny Kundert. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, January 6, 2005, at 9:45 a.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions in Stephen's memory to the American Cancer Society, 372 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT 06897-2523.
