Patricia A. Hickey

Pat Hickey, age 63, a resident of Redding, CT, died peacefully on Tuesday June 14, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer while in hospice care.

She was born in Bridgeport, CT daughter of the late James and Evelyn Hickey of Bridgeport CT. She worked for Goodrich Corp. in Danbury, CT for 28 years. She graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a BS in Education. She was a life member of Fayerweather Yacht Club, a member of the Arabian House Association, the U.S. Equine Federation National Horse Show. She also studied at Post University and concentrated in Equine Husbandry. In addition, she was a member of the Easton Cemetery Group, CT Gravestone, AMC, Archeology Society of CT, Redding Trail Tenders, New Pond Farm, and WConn -Arch Summer work group at Putnam Park.

She is survived by her loving family, a brother: James J. Hickey and sister-in-law Edna of Guilford, CT; niece: Colleen C. Hickey of Guilford, CT. Nephews: Sean M. Hickey of Anchorage, AK. and James T. Hickey " J.T. " of Guilford, CT.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 7:00.

The funeral service will be held at the Bethel Funeral Home, Monday morning at 10:00, with burial immediately following at Redding Ridge Cemetery.
