During my year as an AFS-student I talked a few times to Barbara. I think I first met her because we were both in Miss Mallay's English course, though it may have been another course. She was always kind and understanding and helped me to improve my English. She wrote a very moving note into my yearbook. Unfortunately we did not keep in touch, but I always remembered her when I was leafing through that yearbook. May she rest in peace.
